This website
- No cookies, no analytics, no trackers, no ads. We don’t track visits, and we don’t know who you are.
- Nothing from anyone else. Every file on this site, including its fonts, is served from this site. There are no outside scripts, embedded videos or social buttons, so no other company is told that you visited. The site’s security policy blocks outside content by design.
- No forms. There is nowhere on this site to type personal information.
Our web host
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical information, such as your IP address and the pages you request, to deliver the site and protect it from attacks. We don’t use Cloudflare’s analytics. Cloudflare describes its own handling in its privacy policy.
If you email us
When you write to us, to be told about the launch or to ask for help, your message and email address reach our inbox. We use them only to reply to you and, if you asked, to tell you once when Kol Aliyah launches. We don’t sell or share them, and we don’t add you to any other list. Ask us to delete your messages at any time.
The Kol Aliyah app
The app is built so that nothing about you or your son leaves the phone unless you send it yourself.
- No account, no ads, no analytics, no tracking. Nothing about you or your son is sent to us or to anyone else, and nothing is sold.
- What the phone keeps. His first name, birth date, country and Bar Mitzvah date; the app’s settings; the verses marked learned; his test results and practice time; a parent’s email address if you type one; and his recordings. Start over, in the app’s Settings, deletes his name, dates and recordings and keeps the parents’ report (his test results, practice days and the parent’s email). Deleting the app deletes all of it.
- The microphone. It is used only when he records himself or takes a test. The test runs on a speech model inside the app, on the phone, so his voice goes nowhere.
- The readiness report. It leaves the phone only when you email or share it yourself, from your own Mail app.
- The audio of his portion. After setup the app downloads the readings for his portion once. That download carries nothing about you or your son.
- Purchases. Payment is handled by Apple; we never see your card or your Apple Account details.
Children
The app is for Bar Mitzvah students and their parents. It collects nothing from anyone, children included, and this website collects nothing at all.
